Medium-Term Management Plan “Chori Innovation Plan 2022”
CHORI CO., LTD. hereby announces that it has resolved to approve its new medium-term management plan “Chori Innovation Plan 2022” covering the three-year period from FY2020 to FY2022, following passage of a resolution at a meeting of the board of directors held on May 29, 2020.
The Chori Group’s previous medium-term management plan, “Chori Innovation Plan 2019”, covered the period from FY2017 to FY2019. Under Chori Innovation Plan 2019, the Company pursued four basic strategies: (1) consolidated management, (2) new development, business investment and M&A, (3) corporate governance and (4) human resources. Guided by those strategies, the Chori Group steadily implemented a variety of measures, resulting in consecutive years of record-high consolidated ordinary income and net income attributable to owners of the parent.
In the closing stretch of FY2019, the outbreak of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) spread around the world. The global COVID-19 pandemic has had a tremendous impact on the business environment in Japan and abroad, and it is still uncertain when COVID-19 will come to an end.
In this business environment, the Chori Group will implement the following five basic strategies to achieve sustainable growth: (1) reinforcement of a consolidated management structure, (2) creation of next-generation business models, (3) corporate governance, (4) compliance and (5) strengthening the human resource development structure. Concurrently, defensive measures, including risk management, will be fortified even more, so that Chori can respond instantly to the dramatically changing social and economic environment. The Chori Group seeks to become a corporate group that continues to evolve and change on a global scale, underpinned by our exceptional capabilities and expertise. In the process, the Chori Group will strive to increase its corporate value even further.
